WHY HEAD START? by CAA Head Start Teaching Assistant Maya Smith (part 1)

Maya Smith, a Head Start Teacher at Theodore M. Berry Children & Family Learning Center, discusses WHY HEAD START? for Head Start Awareness Month (October):

"Head Start is an opportunity for our children and families to grow, learn, and succeed. So Head Start starts from pregnancy and [goes] all the way to age 5. We interact and make sure that we are providing exceptional care, and time, and passion, into each family, and to each child, and to each parent that we come across with to ensure that they are prepared for what is to come in life."
